Written and spoken English are different, not as different as in Italian, but different.
 
Commentary should be in spoken English, so say it, and then write it down.  It should be short and colloquial, like speech when you are in a hurry
 
And with interviews write and write the questions, and then put the paper away and look like you are having a simple chat
